The Oxfordshire Cricket Girls Emerging Players Programme intake for the 2019 season has been announced with the initial Induction taking place on Wednesday 14th of November at St Edwards School.
The Emerging Players Programme (EPP) will see Oxfordshire increase it’s talent pool of players to fourteen cricketers aged between Under 12 and Under 18 under the umbrella of the EPP.
The Oxfordshire Girls Emerging Players aims to provide a talent development environment that maximises player potential and that produces an oversupply of players who can progress into the Oxfordshire senior women’s team or beyond. The objective is to achieve this through a programme that focuses on the holistic development of all players in a challenging, supportive and player centred environment and by integrating technical, tactical, physical and psychological development within group and individualised sessions through the winter programme.

Oxfordshire Cricket are extremely grateful that St Edwards School are able to support us by hosting the programme. The programme this year also has some exciting innovation as we have worked hard to establish a newly formed partnership with Pitchvision.
As with the Boys Emerging Players programme, we will be utilising the Pitchvision Player Management tool to centralise the content and information delivered in the sessions in one location with each player able to access their content during and away from the programme.
"I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the players on their selection within the Emerging Players programme for 2018-2019, and hope that they themselves take full advantage of this fantastic opportunity that many of our young cricketers in Oxfordshire aspire to have.
We are excited about working with the group of players over the coming months, and look forward to seeing how they develop."
