Our aims within our marketing and communications function are to communicate with all of our stakeholders, keeping them informed about what we are doing to make cricket the sport of choice in Oxfordshire, as well as reaching new stakeholders to increase our following. We want to publicise our success stories on both a local and national scale so that Oxfordshire becomes a highly recognised cricket county, whilst also building up a great brand image and changing brand perceptions. We also aim to engage with new and current players, officials, coaches and volunteers to drive participation.
As of October 2015, we have a full time role dedicated to marketing and communications, which compared with previous years, will allow us to react to news and publicise it whilst it is still current; in the past there hasn't been the time to react immediately. We now have more social media platforms and followers than we ever have, allowing us to reach a wider audience than before. If we don’t catch people's attention through one medium, we aim to catch them through another.
