Vision: The Oxfordshire Cricket network working collaboratively to overcome challenges faced by the game, sharing knowledge, support and resource.
Our expectation as a high performing cricket board means we must support the Cricket Network in Oxfordshire and enable all stakeholders to maximise their positive impact on the longevity of the game. Our work within this area of developing cricket in Oxfordshire has the potential to effect the most significant changes to participation.
The Oxfordshire Club network is fundamental in driving participation by ensuring the experiences of players are enjoyable and meaningful. We must work to educate clubs by using the most pertinent insight and expertise that will support their volunteers, as well as providing competitive opportunities that meet the needs of their players. Alongside this, our associations for coaches, groundsman and officials will enable a supportive platform for the continued personal development of these individuals.
The work within this strategy will be owned by our Cricket Development Officer Team, Club Development Director and the newly formed Club Development Management Team.
In the past 18 months our CDO team has made a significant impact in putting Oxfordshire Cricket forward as a place clubs can come for support and development. It is essential that we continue this work ensuring we are welcoming, knowledgeable and the first port of call for anything cricket in Oxfordshire.
